In Alice Springs, yep it's a very weird place for a holiday, but my mother is working there, so WHY NOT MAKE IT A WHOLE FAMILY TRIP! The best thing about it is the soundtrack - Angus & Julia Stone, Mumford and Sons, The Beatles, Regina Spektor, Bright Eyes, Ingrid Michaelson, Band of Horses, Arctic Monkeys, The Bay State, The Kooks, Manchester United, Blink 182, Iron & Wine, Noah and the Whale, OK Go, Boy and Bear, Matt and Kim, Mayday Parade, Jack's Mannequin, Bombay Bicycle Club, Scouting for Girls Missy Higgins, More Amor, The Morning Of, Kimya Dawson, The Moldy Peaches, Priscilla Ahn, Said the Whale, Scampi, Katie Herzig, the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack, Bret Dennen AND MORE...
yep, i am awesome for just listing that many bands, that no one even read... :|
Well, this is awkward.
Anyway, I probably won't be posting, unless I get soooo bored that I find some free wi-fi :) Which will probably happen! So have a great weekend, everyone :) x
Today was a very eventful day spent with my beautiful best friend, Johanna. We traipsed around West End, looking in shop after shop for perfect spring finds, but sadly didn't find anything. After so much walking (there was LOTS of walking involved), we ended up at an amazing cafe named Three Monkeys to refuel with coffee and nachos. After a refreshing lunch, we somehow made our way to Paddington, where we spent even more time walking (!) and Johanna actually found some pretty decent stuff, while I found a pair of fabulous cream high waisted shorts, with a fraying hem and cute little pleats. Yes, very preppy.
It was a great day, spent with a great person; how sweeeeeeet :)
I HOPE YOUR DAY WAS EQUALLY ENJOYABLE,,
"From your experience, how do you know when you're in love?
I think you feel it in every ounce of your body. There are no more judgments, no more walls, nothing to fall back on; you are at the utmost level of vulnerability. You encounter a sense of fear that you didn’t think possible; one that feels so unfamiliar and bone-chilling that you wish would end. The fear, however, comes from knowing that you are now willing to give your all to someone. They have your soul and your heart resting in their hands and they can do what they please. The strange this is, as frightened as you may be, it doesn’t hold you back. You stop thinking about the future because the only thought you can possibly muster is the idea of being with that person and nothing else in the world matters. You allow them to crawl underneath your skin and into every space of your body… and you don’t even care."
